Check out Patter’s Blog and get the instruction from her.  She tells it better than I can try to explain, but not only is this process fun but I am wondering why I did not think of this?


Yes it is labor intensive if you have a ton of stamps, BUT if you are just starting out then it would be an easy project to start so that you always know what stamps you have and cut down on duplicate purchases.

Hand Stamped Candles

I have accomplished a new technique! I hand stamped these plain white candles I am going to give as door prizes at my upcoming all day crop. They are among a variety of items I plan to give away every hour on the hour. So be sure to come to Dickson Middle School Library February 27th, 2010 from 9am-5pm.

To hand stamp candles you follow these steps:

1. Choose a candle, white is best.

2. Choose your stamp.

3. Cut a piece of white tissue paper that will fit your desired image.

4. Choose your ink color and stamp your image onto the glossier side of the tissue.

5. Cut your image out, does not have to be perfect.

6. Place it on your candle with just a tiny bit of glue.

7. Wrap the candle and image in wax paper with plenty of extra on the back to use to hold onto. Make sure wax paper is smooth where the image is.

8. Use your heat gun to melt the image to the candle…don’t hold gun in one place too long.

9. Gently peel back wax paper and you have stamped your candle!

10. Embellish as desired.

Topstitch Layout

For this layout I used all Close to my Heart products except the flowers. I also used my cricut Opposites Attract cartridge to cut my CTMH Cardstock for the title. My inspiration came from the Timeline layout on pg. 31 of my Imagine How-to idea book. I used Topstitch level 2 paper packet, and I stamped the flower background on my colonial white paper using blush ink and the Connections Stamp. I also used a sponge and chocolate ink along my edges to distress them, except the strip of pink in which I used the blush ink and sponge to distress. Then I used the sponge on dabbed chocolate ink on the background papers. I embellished with Chocolate Brads and Natural Hemp. The flowers were not from CTMH, but you can order some from us.
